Holiday accident abroad?

Holiday Road Traffic Accident Claim

Having an accident or being injured abroad can happen to any of us. It can be exhausting to keep track of what you need to do when you’re away and have to deal with such circumstances.

Whether it’s you or a loved one, our guide to accidents abroad may help you understand what is required, should you have to make a holiday accident claim against your holiday provider.

A foreign claim can be heard in the British courts

If you sustain a personal injury whilst you are on holiday abroad, don't be put off dealing with it once you come home.  Read our guide to accidents - what to do if you've been unfortunate enough to be involved in an accident whilst on holiday.

We have expert holiday solicitors to help you make a successful claim, on your holiday road accident, whether at home or abroad.

When you hire a car or bike whilst on holiday, the last thing on your mind is whether you’re going to have a holiday road traffic accident.

You could be a passenger on an excursion, in a taxi or coach making your way around your holiday destination, or in some cases you may want to hire your own vehicle to get around – whatever the situation, if you have a holiday road traffic accident, you should contact one of our specialist solicitors to discuss what has happened to you and whether you are able to claim for your holiday accident.

If you’re hiring a vehicle and have signed a disclaimer or perhaps you’re a passenger of the hired vehicle, it doesn’t necessarily mean that you are unable to claim back for the injuries or damages caused to you or your loved ones.

There could be several reasons why the disclaimer may be irrelevant such as the vehicle not being roadworthy in the first place, due to speeding, or from poor traffic signs.

In the UK you can claim up to 3 years after the accident, however in some European countries the time you can claim can be shorter and all other countries have varying time limits. It is essential that you get professional advice as soon as possible.
